The first line drug in the treatment of scabies

Indications:

Kametrin 5% cream containing permethrin is used to treat infection with Sarcoptes scabiei parasite (the cause of scabies).

Method of Use:

Apply the desired amount of cream from the neck to the soles of the feet completely on the skin and massage. Wash the skin after 8 to 14 hours. The effect of the drug after using it once, remains on the body for at least 10 days.

Warnings and Precautions:

1- This cream is usually used only once for treatment.

2- The use of this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be done according to the doctor's opinion.

3- This medicine is for external use only.

4- Itching, redness and edema that usually accompany this disease may intensify if permethrin cream is used for a short period of time.

5- This medicine should not be used by people who have a history of any allergy to the components used in its preparation and similar medicines.

6- The most common side effect of taking this medicine is itching. Also, mild and transient burning sensation, redness, numbness and rash may be observed.

7- Keep it below 30°C.

8- Protect from freezing.
